Aims of the program
The Integrated Research Training Group 575 Düsseldorf is a structural tool to qualify young researchers of the Collaborative Research Center 575 (SFB 575). The IGRK provides interdisciplinary training and research opportunities in a highly attractive and inspiring research environment for outstanding University Graduates who wish to work towards a PhD in the fields of Medicine (Internal Medicine, Neurology), Biochemistry, Neuroscience, Physiology, Biology, Chemistry, and Physical Chemistry.
The Integrated Research Training Group (IGRK) was founded in January 2008 and is financed by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft. It is part of the Collaborative Research Center 575 "Experimental Hepatology". Fellowships are available to international students as well as German students. The IGRK will host up to 48 PhD students in total. PhD students have a primary affiliation with one of the participating research groups and are enrolled as graduate students at the Heinrich-Heine-University Düsseldorf. The language of the PhD Graduate School is English. PhD projects are worked on for three to four years.
