RTG 2578 Seminar Series
In the weekly seminars the RTG alternates between talks by invited speakers and progress reports of the PhD students to discuss the current state of the research field as well as the ongoing projects.
Our seminars are chaired by PhD students of the RTG and speakers from all toxicology and stem cell relevant fields are invited to share their knowledge!
Upcoming Seminar in the RTG 2578 Seminar Series
Prof. Dr. Winklhofer from the Institute of Biochemistry and Pathobiochemistry (Ruhr-University Bochum) will talk about 'The Role of Ubiquitin in the regulation of cellular processes'. We are very thankful to the following speakers for sharing their time, expertise and knowledge in our Seminar Series:
- Prof. Dr. David Hay from the University of Edinburgh - In our very first RTG 2578 Seminar Prof. Hay talked about 'iPSC - derived hepatocytes' and potential clinical approaches!
- Dr. Julia Hesse from the University Düsseldorf - Dr. Hesse gave the RTG members a fascinating insight into 'Cardiac progenitor cells in heart development and repair'!
- Prof. Dr. Alessandro Prigione from the University Düsseldor - Prof. Prigione introduced the students and PIs to his research on 'Human iPSCs in mitochondrial diseases: from brain organoids to drug discovery'!
- Prof. Dr. Markus Christmann from the University Medical Center in Mainz - Prof. Christmann presented the topic of 'Cellular senescence' with the RTG members and shared his expertise in a discussion prior to and after his talk!
