ColoMARK, a Marie Skłodowska-Curie doctoral network, integrates 17 teams with multidisciplinary expertise to leverage novel liquid biopsy strategies for enhancing the detection and clinical management of colorectal cancer (CRC). A doctoral candidate in our group will investigate how diagnostic leukapheresis and intraoperative samples can improve biomarker detection in early CRC, focusing on the potential of circulating tumor cells, extracellular vesicles, and other biomarkers for diagnosis, patient stratification, and relapse prediction.
