Centre for Health and Society
The Centre for Health and Society (chs) examines how societal conditions influence our lives and well-being, and how healthcare provision can be improved in a modern society.
To achieve this, scientists from various disciplines work closely together. The chs brings together institutes and research groups from the Medical Faculty of Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf (HHU) as well as from the German Diabetes Center (DDZ), the Leibniz Center for Diabetes Research.

On December 11, 2018, the European Commission awarded HHU the "HR Excellence in Research Award" as part of the EU initiative "Human Resources Strategy for Researchers (HRS4R)."
