Research

The Department of Molecular Medicine II is dedicated to uncover immunological mechanisms that deactivate pathogens during infectious diseases. The investigations focus on innate and adaptive immune functions. Long-term goals are to use these mechanisms to further our understanding on infectious diseases and to improve therapeutic regimens. Moreover, our research efforts explore mechanism during auto reactive immunity, which can counteract cancer cells.
