Seniorprofessorship Prof. J. Siegrist
Senior Professorship for Work Stress Research
Professor Johannes Siegrist, PhD. received a Research Professorship from the Medical Faculty of the Heinrich-Heine- University Duesseldorf. The main task of this temporary contract consists in working on a grant provided by the European Commission (HEALTH-F3-2011 278350 DRIVERS) that analyses ways to improve the transfer from new scientific evidence on health-adverse modern working conditions to practical application and to policy making. To this aim, Professor Siegrist and his team develop selected systematic reviews and secondary data analyses of available European wide surveys as a basis for targeted recommendations on ways to strengthen this transfer. This project is part of a larger European grant where the University College London and the Stockholm University are the other main partners. All projects have the common aim to improve transfer of knowledge on social determinants of health into policy and practical application.
In addition to this main research activity, the Senior Professorship provides support to the Medical Faculty’s program on health services research, in close collaboration with the newly founded Centre for Health and Society at Duesseldorf University.
