Gisela Eisenreich Research Centre

The mission of the Gisela Eisenreich Research Centre is to promote research on the history and philosophy (including philosophy of science and ethics) of medicine, healthcare and nature. This also includes the history of science.

Thanks to a generous donation by Mrs. Gisela Eisenreich, the Gisela Eisenreich Foundation was established in the 1990s. In the past, it has supported, among other things, the Gisela Eisenreich Lecture on Medical Ethics. After the death of Mrs. Eisenreich, the foundation now supports the activities of the Gisela Eisenreich Research Centre "Nature - Healthcare - Medicine. History, Theory, Ethics" at the Department of the History, Philosophy and Ethics of Medicine at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf.
