Grant-Writing-Workshop an der Arsi University

From June 23 to 25, 2025, a three-day workshop on “Writing Successful Research Proposals” was held at the College of Health Sciences at Arsi University. The aim of the event was to strengthen the skills of research staff from various disciplines in order to develop effective research projects that address the health needs of the population and meet the priorities of funding organizations.

Under the guidance of Dr. Tafese B. Tufa, participants were guided through the entire application process – from identifying research gaps and formulating concise questions to structuring and budgeting to final submission. Practical group exercises, expert lectures, and simulated peer reviews made the workshop particularly interactive. A total of 45 participants from various departments successfully completed the training.
