Abstract – 3rd STAIRS Consortium Meeting, Maputo

The 3rd Annual Consortium Meeting of the STAIRS project took place from 17–21 November 2025 in Maputo, Mozambique. The meeting brought together partners from Ethiopia, Ghana, Germany, Uganda, Nigeria and Mozambique for a week of strategic discussions, scientific exchange, and project planning. The program included updates from all work packages, presentations on ongoing research activities, and dedicated sessions on implementation progress, capacity building, and data management. Interactive discussion rounds enabled partners to reflect on challenges, share operational experiences, and harmonize approaches across study sites. Key achievements of the meeting included the consolidation of the implementation roadmap for the upcoming project phase, strengthened coordination mechanisms between African and European partner institutions, and agreement on timelines for deliverables, reporting structures, and upcoming training activities. The meeting successfully reinforced collaboration within the consortium and set clear priorities for advancing the STAIRS project in 2026.
