Yousra El Makrini studied pharmacy at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf and passed her third state examination in January 2022. She has been a licensed pharmacist since then.
She also completed a second degree in Applied Health Sciences (M.Sc.) at the Bochum University of Applied Sciences. Her master’s program focused on prevention and health promotion.

She has been working as a research assistant in the PICAR project since December 2022 and has been operational project manager for the KiRa project since June 2023.
