The project "Child protection in medicine: level of knowledge of nursing trainees in Düsseldorf, Germany" has been funded for a period of three years since October 2021. By means of a survey, our team determines the level of knowledge and perceived competencies of nursing trainees at Düsseldorf University Hospital on the subject of child protection in medicine. The aim is to create the basis for a better understanding of the role of nursing in child protection in medicine and to identify the needs for further teaching and learning content. The project lays the foundation for a targeted and needs-oriented transfer of knowledge in future courses and can thus contribute to greater awareness, confidence and self-efficacy in future generations of qualified nursing staff.
