Post-COVID Kids Bavaria 2.0: Cross-sectoral structural analysis for mapping care, taking into account the health system and the community: cooperation, networks, service provision and access in two Bavarian regions: PoCOKiBa2.0

Post-COVID syndrome is increasingly coming into focus as a long-term consequence of COVID-19. Multi-professional collaboration and well-coordinated referrals within the system are necessary for the early detection and tailored care of affected children and adolescents.

The pilot project "Post-COVID Kids Bavaria 2.0" aims to further develop and consolidate the comprehensive, cross-sectoral and multi-professional care of children, adolescents and very young adults with long-term consequences of coronavirus disease 2019 (post-COVID syndrome, PCS) in Bavaria in line with demand.

A sub-project of Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf is the "Cross-sectoral structural analysis for mapping care, taking into account the healthcare system and the community: cooperation, networks, service provision and access in two Bavarian regions" (in cooperation with the Chair of Public Health at the Institute for Medical Information Processing, Biometry and Epidemiology at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München).

In order to visualize and organize the "support system" for young patients with PCS, this sub-project records existing services, institutions and their cooperation. The aim of the project is to map the existing local and regional support system from the healthcare and community sectors for young patients affected by PCS, which should enable professionals and patients to activate and use the entire existing support system.
