Pulmonary hypertension and heart lung interactions working group

Close anatomical and functional relations between the heart, the lung and pulmonary vascular system explain the relevance of careful consideration of the interplay of heart and lung in health and disease. Pulmonary hypertension (PH) is a pathophysiological disorder that may involve multiple clinical conditions and can complicate the majority of cardiovascular and respiratory diseases. Due to the interdisciplinary nature of  the pulmonary hypertension, broad cardiological and pneumological knowledge is required for ideal clinical care and scientific progress.
